The mission of Kids’ Chance of Texas is to create and support scholarship programs that provide educational opportunities for kids in Texas, who have had a parent severely or fatally injured while in the course and scope of their job.
The Texas Kids’ Chance chapter was formed in June of 2015 to give kids in our great state a helping hand in times of need. The organization is supported by workers’ compensation system stakeholders from many industries and geographic areas across Texas. Kids’ Chance of Texas is the one program that can bring together all sides for a common cause. Participants include employers, insurance carriers, managed care organizations, third party administrators, defense counsel and plantiffs’ attorneys, all of whom are working together to raise money for kids at a time when it’s needed most.
Kids’ Chance of Texas operates on a completely volunteer basis by members who are committed to keeping operational expenses to a bare minimum in order to make the greatest impact possible. The program is supported through targeted marketing and by presentations to professional organizations related to the workers’ compensation industry.
